Lincoln Financial Foundation Supports Employment Services

Fort Wayne, Ind. — Lincoln Financial Foundation has awarded a $30,000 grant to Easterseals Northeast Indiana to help prepare individuals with disabilities for workplace success.

Easterseals Northeast Indiana will use the grant funds to provide assessment, training, internships, education, placement and support to individuals in Allen County. Participants will be placed in meaningful jobs and training opportunities that match their skills and interests. More than 80 area businesses currently employ individuals served by Easterseals Northeast Indiana.

Easterseals offers a wide range of employment services for participating adults, including job exploration through virtual reality and opportunity labs with certification programs focused on high-demand industries.

Easterseals also serves student participants at several area schools through Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS). Pre-ETS helps students prepare for life after high school through job exploration, work-based learning, workplace readiness activities, self-advocacy training and education counseling.

Easterseals is an approved provider for Vocational Rehabilitation Services and Social Security’s Ticket to Work program.
