The Bureau of Disabilities Services (BDS) monitors waiver capacity and has identified that there is limited capacity remaining on the Family Supports (FS) and Community Integration and Habilitation (CIH) Medicaid waivers.
In November 2025, the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) updated its waiver invitation process to establish timelines for individuals to complete required steps to become active on the waiver.
On February 20, 2026, FSSA announced the following updates due to limited remaining capacity for the FS and CIH waivers:
· Individuals who have been invited to apply and complete all requirements outlined in the timeline notice will be placed on hold until the waiver has capacity to move them forward.
· Individuals who do not complete all requirements within the established timeline will have their waiver invitation rescinded.
