Dancing with the Arc Stars Fundraiser Rocks Record $205,000 | Easterseals Arc of Northeast Indiana

Fort Wayne, Ind. — After a two-year hiatus due to pandemic restrictions, Dancing with the Arc Stars returned on April 28 with a record-setting fundraising total of $205,000 to support Easterseals Arc of Northeast Indiana.

“The generosity of this community is truly amazing,” said Donna K. Elbrecht, Easterseals Arc CEO. “Our consumers were thrilled to be able to perform again, and the audience responded to their enthusiasm by giving far beyond our expectations.”

Dancing with the Arc Stars pairs 10 volunteers from the community with 10 individuals served by Easterseals Arc. Dance instructors volunteer their time and skills to teach each couple a dance routine and practice with them for two months. The couples raise money online for several weeks, with donations continuing throughout the performances the night of the event.

The total of $205,000 includes sponsorships, ticket sales and individual donations. The previous high was $132,000 in 2019. Presenting sponsors for the event were Ruoff Mortgage and Fort Wayne Elks Lodge #155.

All funds raised through Dancing with the Arc Stars will help Easterseals Arc lead the way to full equity, inclusion and access for people with disabilities, families and communities. Through a broad range of programs and services, Easterseals Arc is enriching education, enhancing health, expanding employment, and elevating community throughout northeast Indiana.
