Last week, Passages announced its plan to merge with Easterseals Arc of Northeast Indiana in March, 2021. Earlier today, the CEO/President of Easterseals Arc along with several leadership staff came to the Creative Learning Center for a meet-and-greet and question/answer session. The first half of the day was for Passages staff, and the second was for family members/caregivers of persons served by Passages.
David Smith, Vice Chair of our board of directors and local Market President for STAR Financial (pictured), spoke to our Passages staff about the upcoming merger with Easterseals Arc of Northeast Indiana.
David said he is excited about the opportunity to continue our services locally and to expand services to individuals served. He also explained that we will be able to better compensate our direct support professionals (DSPs) who work so hard every day to care for our people.
David also explained that our board of directors voted unanimously for the merger due to the best interests of both persons served and staff.
More of these question/answer sessions will be held after the beginning of 2021 for both staff members and family/caregivers for individuals served.
