Easterseals Arc has been awarded a $1,902 grant from the St. Joseph Community Health Foundation to fund health education resources for people with disabilities.
Easterseals Arc’s goal is to help individuals improve overall health and manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease and allergies through diet, nutrition and hygiene.
The funding will help the agency purchase educational resources such as lessons, classroom kits, models, games and posters.
About 120 high-risk Easterseals Arc consumers will benefit from the health education and information.
