Columbia City, Ind. — The Mad Anthonys Foundation has awarded a $5,000 grant to Easterseals Passages to support employment services in Whitley County.
Employment services enhance employability, independence, and quality of life for people with disabilities while strengthening the local workforce. The grant will provide funding for youths and adults with disabilities to develop foundational skills and explore jobs in the community.
Employment services provided by Easterseals Passages include:
- Employment Readiness Academy: Hands-on training at a local employer
- Pre-Employment Transition Services: Resources and experiences for students to explore employment and education options
- Supported employment: Individual assessments, job placements and workplace supports
