Fort Wayne, Ind.— Easterseals Arc of Northeast Indiana has received a $10,000 grant from the Magee-O’Connor Foundation to support person-centered employment services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Easterseals Arc’s cross-functional team of employment specialists will assess participants’ interests and abilities, identify barriers, teach skills and provide job placement services. The goal is to help each participant find meaningful community-based employment that matches their unique skills and abilities.
The team also will collaborate with local employers on best practices for developing a diverse, inclusive workforce through initiatives to attract, hire and retain individuals with disabilities.
