Raker Foundation Grant Supports Workforce Neurodiversity | Easterseals Arc of Northeast Indiana

Fort Wayne, Ind. — The M.E. Raker Foundation recently awarded a $20,000 grant to Easterseals Arc of Northeast Indiana to support neurodiversity workforce training efforts.

Easterseals Arc’s cross-functional team of employment specialists will assess neurodivergent individuals, identify barriers, teach skills and provide job placement services. The goal is to help each participant find meaningful community-based employment that matches their unique skills and abilities.

The team also will educate local employers on best practices for developing a supportive workplace culture that values the strengths of neurodiverse individuals, reduces stigmas and stereotypes related to disabilities, and advances equity and inclusion.
