While recreation may sound like it’s all fun and games, these activities are an integral part of a holistic approach to independent living and overall well-being. Participants connect with local community resources and develop social skills, life skills, communication skills, and lasting relationships.
Each year, our recreation calendar features a wide range of events designed to foster community integration and healthy living. From movie nights, concerts, and theater performances to sports events—including Mad Ants basketball, Komets hockey, and TinCaps baseball games—there is something for everyone. We organize outings to area festivals and museums, bowling leagues, and more, ensuring diverse adaptive recreation options that cater to various interests and abilities.
By participating in our recreation program, individuals with disabilities gain access to a supportive network that encourages personal growth, community participation, and a fulfilling lifestyle. Join us to explore adaptive recreational opportunities, build new friendships, and enhance independence through meaningful, enjoyable activities.
Special Olympics
Although we are not a provider for Special Olympics, we partner with local organizations to ensure that the people we serve have opportunities to compete in Special Olympics events. These partnerships help enhance physical fitness, teamwork, and confidence, aligning with our commitment to life skills development and social integration.
