Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, our respite care offerings stand out in northeast Indiana.

Easterseals operates a dedicated respite house in Fort Wayne, featuring multiple bedrooms for overnight stays, a fenced backyard, and a variety of recreational supplies to ensure a safe, fun environment. Families can schedule respite services to suit their needs or consult our monthly respite calendar to find themed days and activities that interest their loved ones. Beyond on-site care, we organize respite outings—from visits to the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum to scenic rides on the Whitewater Valley train—so participants enjoy diverse community-based experiences.

Our Parents Night Out events, offered in partnership with local organizations, provide occasional respite care for individuals with special needs and their siblings. While parents relax, our CPR-certified staff deliver personalized care in a secure setting. We also accommodate emergency respite needs when caregivers face sudden illness or injury, ensuring uninterrupted support.

All staff members receive first aid and medication dispensing training and are familiar with each individual’s unique plan.
