What Is the Hospitality Lab?

In the hospitality lab, you will:

Industry-Recognized Certifications
Our hospitality lab training includes two key certifications that employers value:
Food Handler Certificate
Learn the five CDC Risk Factors for foodborne illness prevention:
- Basic food safety
- Personal hygiene
- Cross-contamination and allergens
- Time and temperature control
- Cleaning and sanitation
ServSafe Food Handler Certification
The hospitality lab also prepares participants for the ServSafe certification, a nationally recognized food safety program developed by the National Restaurant Association. This certification is often required for food service jobs and proves you understand safe food handling practices.
